Ask for what your team saved
- How does Sam build the Northgate scorecard?
- Why 3% for Northgate?
- What did we promise Jenna for Q3?
- How did we build the Q3 line review deck?
- What tone works best with Jenna?
- Which sources went into June's scorecard?
- What's still open with Northgate?
- Why do we explain the week-3 dip first?
How it works
From your chat to your team.
Finish a piece of work with your AI, then save how you did it. The note stays private until you share it with a person or a team, and next month anyone you shared it with can ask their own assistant for it.
Save and share
Finished something with your AI? Save it, then share it.
Ask your assistant to save the work: it writes a short note with what you made, the sources, how you built it and the key decisions. The note is private until you share it, and the assistant always shows who will be able to read it and waits for your yes.
- It never guesses who you mean. If two people share a name, it asks.
- Share with a person, one of your own lists, or a company team your admin set up.
Example with made-up data. Your assistant does the work with its own tools; Brainstack keeps only the note you ask it to save.
Ask
Next month, anyone you shared with can ask their own assistant.
Your team asks the way they always do. Brainstack finds the notes that person may see and passes them to their assistant, which answers with the context and the method and shows which note each part came from.
Example with made-up data. Each answer uses only notes the person asking can see: their own, and ones shared with them.
Any MCP client can connect the same way, with the same per-person access. MCP is the open standard for connecting AI assistants to tools.
My notes
See everything you've saved, and stop sharing any time.
In the Brainstack web app, your Brain shows the notes you saved and the notes shared with you. Open one of yours to see exactly who can read it, share it later after the same review, or stop sharing it; right after a share, you have a few seconds to undo it (two minutes from your assistant). My notes lists each one with who can read it, in plain words, and lets you stop sharing or delete it.
Example with made-up data. Sam's My notes page lists Sam's own notes, newest first, each with who can see it. Northgate monthly scorecard, saved Jun 30: You and the 'Northgate' team (4 people; people who join later can read it too). Northgate contacts, saved Jun 24: You and the 'Northgate' team (4 people; people who join later can read it too). Q3 pricing call prep, saved Jun 12: You and your list 'Q3 pricing' (2 people). New item setup steps, saved May 20: Only you. Each shared note has Stop sharing, with a choice of who to stop sharing with, and every note has Delete. Beside it, My lists shows Sam's list Q3 pricing: Jordan and Morgan, 2 people, with 1 note shared through it, and an Add people button.
Example with made-up data. Stop sharing works from now on for the people you choose: it can't un-read what someone already saw.
Private by design
Your notes.
On your server.
Everything your team saves is stored on your server, in your company's hands. Brainstack runs no AI model of its own. It keeps the notes, searches them, and makes sure each person only ever gets the notes they may see.
- Stored on your serverEvery note is kept in Brainstack's own database, on a machine your company controls, in your office or your own cloud account.
- Private until you shareA new note is visible only to the person who saved it. When someone asks, their assistant gets only the notes they may see.
- Locked backupsBackups are encrypted, and the keys to open them are kept somewhere else.
- Leave and access endsRemove someone once and they lose access to every note at the same moment, in every assistant they connected.
When someone asks Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot a question, Brainstack passes their assistant only the notes that person may see, so it can answer. That is like pasting those notes into the chat, under your company's existing agreement with that AI company.
For your IT person
Your IT person sets it up in an afternoon.
It runs on a small Linux server or cloud VM — no special hardware, and no AI model to run. They point a web address at it and run a short setup wizard, which connects your company's sign-in, such as Google or Microsoft, and makes them the first admin. Then they invite your team, who sign in with the work account they already use.

Questions
Plain answers.
Something else on your mind? Ask us when you get in touch.
- Is my data safe?
- Your notes are stored on your server, a machine your company controls, and backups are encrypted. A note is visible only to the person who saved it until they share it, and each person's assistant only ever gets the notes that person may see.
- Does Brainstack read our email or files?
- No. It only keeps what people choose to save. Your assistant may use its own tools to look at email or files while it works; Brainstack only keeps the note you ask it to save.
- Who can see what I save?
- Only you, until you share it. Ask your assistant, or open the note in the web app, to share it with a person, one of your own lists or a company team; you see exactly who will be able to read it, and nothing changes until you say yes. Company teams are set up by your admin, and members can ask to join; your lists are your own. You can update a note later through your assistant, and stop sharing or delete it any time on your My notes page. If your admin turns off sharing from assistants, you share in the web app instead.
- Does the AI company see my notes?
- Saving happens inside your AI chat, so your assistant sees the note as it writes it. When someone asks a question, Brainstack passes the notes they may see to their assistant so it can answer. That is like pasting them into the chat, under your company's existing agreement with that AI company. Brainstack itself runs no AI model.
- Which AI assistants work with it?
- Claude and ChatGPT connect directly; some plans need your admin to turn on custom connectors. Microsoft 365 Copilot can connect through your IT admin: a Copilot connector lets people search their notes, and a Copilot Studio agent gives the full save and share. Any other assistant that supports MCP, the open standard for connecting AI assistants to tools, can connect too.
- Do I need IT help to set it up?
- Yes, once. Your IT person or IT provider sets it up on a small Linux machine or cloud VM your company controls, with no special hardware and no AI model to run. They point a web address at it and run a short setup wizard that connects your company's sign-in, such as Google or Microsoft. Then they invite your team, who sign in and add Brainstack to their assistant, or IT adds it for everyone. Here's the page for your IT person.
- What happens when someone leaves?
- Remove them once and their access to every note ends at the same moment, including in any AI assistant they had connected.
- What happens after I reach out?
- We set up a short call to learn how your team works. If it's a fit, your IT person sets Brainstack up with our help. We'll talk about pricing on that call.
